Progressing
Pulmonary
Fibrosis

Progressing pulmonary fibrosis describes a group of diseases which makes it difficult to breathe causing breathlessness. This is the result of scarring of the lungs which does not allow enough oxygen into the bloodstream.

The most common symptoms of all progressing pulmonary fibrosis are shortness of breath, dry cough and fatigue.

There are potential solutions which can help you manage the disease such as treatment and rehabilitation options like exercise.

No one should feel that they are alone living with their disease.

If you hold out your hand, there will be someone who will support you:

  • Connect with your family and loved ones

  • Reach out to patient advocacy groups

Patient advocacy groups lend support

Patient advocacy groups are the helping hand you may need. These groups are there to offer support in several ways:

  • help to understand the disease and how to best live with it,

  • connect you with people who also live with the disease and their families,

  • provide information on where you get access to available treatment and support and much more.

Please reach out to the appropriate organization directly for support or for further information.
